Kaiser Doula Benefit

As of January 2025, many Kaiser Permanente plans cover doula support. After our complimentary consultation call, you’ll be asked to provide the information needed to confirm that your Kaiser plan includes doula support.

My Kaiser Birth Doula Support Package includes the following:

• An Initial In-Person Onboarding Meeting

• 6 Prenatal Virtual Visits, including:

  • 2-3 In-Person Prenatal Visits covering Childbirth Education & Birth Planning, Labor Prep & Practice, Comfort Measures, Partner Support, and more (based on your personal childbirth education needs)

  • 3-4 Virtual Prenatal Visits covering topics like Breastfeeding, Newborn Care, Childbirth Education and Preparation

• Labor & Birth Support

• 1 In-Person Postpartum Visit: Birth Debrief, Feeding, Postpartum Care

• 2 Extended Postpartum Visits, up to three hours each, for newborn and postpartum care

Please note that the visit topics, timelines, and usage billed to Kaiser may change based on gestation when contracting for doula support, the assessed needs of the client as determine by the doula, or based on the timeline of birth at the discretion of the doula.

Kaiser’s Doula Benefit does not cover Birth Photography.
If Kaiser clients are interested in Birth Photography in addition to Doula Support, photography services can be contracted separately at the same discounted rate offered to private paying clients who choose “The Complete Birth Journey” listed on my Birth Photography Services.
